COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course takes approximately 8 hours to complete, and training certificates valid for 3 years are issued upon successful completion of the program.

At certain times of the year courses fill quickly and it is recommended to pre-book a minimum of 1 week in advance of the expected course date.

**Please note this course is NOT OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Assoc.) approved.

  2. Hazards of Confined Spaces
  3. Identifying Confined & Enclosed Space
  4. Understanding Typical Air Contaminants
  5. Using the Confined Space Entry Permit
  6. Selection and Operation of Ventilation Systems
  7. Standby/Rescue Responsibilities
  8. Practical Exercises
Note: Course starts at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Students who are late may be refused admission.**Coveralls, hard hat, gloves (optional) and steel-toed boots are required for the practical portion of this course.  The practical exam takes place outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather.
